Solution to deficit?
The Prime Minister, Mr Lange, held a 40-ounce ingot of gold in his hand, when he visited the Grey River Golds’ dredge at Ngahere yesterday. Mr Lange told reporters at a meeting in Greymouth that the gold was worth $25,000. The member of Parliament for the West Coast, Mr Kerry Burke, said, “He could see the deficit in the balance of payments disappearing.”
