Agassi faces Becker
NZPA-Reuter Munich, West Germany Teenager Andre Agassi, in the hot seat as the United States top player after the late withdrawal of the injured John McEnroe, faces the daunting prospect of a clash with Boris Becker in the Davis Cup semi-final against the holder, West Germany. Agassi, aged 19, was drawn yesterday to meet the Wimbledon champion in the second of today’s two singles rubbers in the world group tie. Brad Gilbert, a late replacement for McEnroe, who pulled out last week-end with a shoulder injury, will meet Carl-Uwe Steeb in the opening rubber.
