Public Notices Z WATER SUPPLY DEVELOPMENT LOAN 1989 IT Is hereby publicly notified that at an Ordinary Meeting held In the Council Chambers, Fendalton on Wednesday, July 19, 1989, the Walmalrl District Council resolved:'•That in pursuance, and exercise of the powers vested In It by the Local Government Act 1974, the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Local Authorities Loans Exemption Order 1986, and amendments thereto and all other Acts (If any) enabling it in that behalf, the Walmalrl District Council resolves to proceed to raise in New Zealand a loan to be known as the Water Supply Development Loan 1989 for an amount of two hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) for the purposes of developing the water supply in the District, and to reimburse other funds for expenditure already Incurred or otherwise subject to the following determlnatlons:1. The maximum term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be borrowed shall be 20 years. 2. Interest rates shall be determined according to market rates applicable at the time of actual loan raising. 3. The loan or any part thereof, together with interest thereon, shall be repaid by any of the following methods of repayment: (a) By equal aggregate annual or half-yearly Instalments of principal and Interest. (b) By annual payments to a sinking fund in respect of this loan or any issue thereof, at a rate of not less than 1.17 per cent per annum of the amount for the time being borrowed and not repaid. 4. The Council hereby appropriates and pledges a special annual recurring rate of .00980 cents In the dollar on the capita) value of all rateable property in the water supply area of the District of Walmalrl. 5. No borrowings shall be undertaken In currencies other than New Zealand dollars. 6. Commission or fees may be paid in respect of the raising of the said loan, or any part thereof as the Local Authorities Loans Board may determine from time to time. 7. Such other determinations of the Local Authorities Loans Board as are applicable. Pursuant to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 and amendments thereto, It Is hereby further publicly notified, that the foregoing resolution will be submitted to an Ordinary Meeting of the Walmalrl District Council, to be held in the Council chambers, Fendalton at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 1989 for confirmation as a Special Order. Further public notice Is hereby given that a poll of ratepayers Is required to be taken If fifteen per cent of the ratepayers of the District of Walmalrl so demand in writing under their hand, delivered or sent by post to the undersigned before 9 a.m. on the date fixed for the confirmation of the above resolution as a Special Order.
