The present Manager leaves the position to take another role in the Licensing Trust. The hotel Is the flagship of the Ashburton Licensing Trust and is located in the main centre of Mid-Canterbury. The complex provides a vital link in the Canterbury tourist trade and serves a wide variety of local community functions. The hotel has 55 accommodation units, a la carte restaurant, bistro, family bar, public bar, bottlestore, lounge bar, house bar and extensive conference facilities with an annual turnover of approximately three million dollars. Thy Manager’s position has considerable scope for Initiative as responsibilities cover the profitable operation of the hotel. Duties include hotel promotion and marketing, staff control and direction, stock control, finance, budgetary control, public relations.
