BATELY, Charles (Chas) (Reg. No. 770728, R.A.F. 193945) - On July 18, 1989, at Christchurch Hospital, loved husband of Kay, loved father and father-in-law of Grahame and Rosemary, and David and Elizabeth, and a loved granddad of Scott, Nicholas, and Sarah; In his 74th year. BLACK, Elizabeth Rauhanga The Lord glveth and the Lord taketh — On July 14, 1989, deafly loved sister of May, a much loved aunt of Gillian, Moana, Mark, Beverly, Ann, and Lesley, and the late Lindsay Tuuta, and great-aunt of Liana, Mark-Shane, Tia, Kyra, Jamie, Jason, Stephen, Isaac and Zane. Called to rest. A long and patient sufferer, always caring for others first. Sadly missed by all.

No. S/21410, Ist Battalion), Gordon Highlanders, 1914-18 — On July 20, 1989, at the Margaret Wilson Home, Timaru, dearly loved husband of Winifred Mary, loved father and father-in-law of Malcolm and Mary (Wellington), and Donald and Margaret, and loved granddad of Jane, Sheena, Sarah, Bob, Julie, Kaye, and Colin; aged 90 years. CLEPHANE, Dorothy Beatrice Sloan — On July 18, 1989, at Christchurch, dearly loved wife of the late Gilbert, and loving mother and mother-in-law of Graeme and Trish Clephane (Christchurch) Lyndsey and Don Haggltt (Christchurch), and Alicia and lan Farrier (San Diego). A wonderful mother to us all. Loved grandma of Kirsten, and Lisa, Martin, Catherine, and Jason, Michael and Steven; in her 86th year. DARCY, Cyril John, of 41 Ensign Street, Halswell, Christchurch (late of 14 Brunswick Street, Timaru) — On July 19, 1989, at Christchurch Hospital, loved son of the late Nellie Darcy, loved brother and brother-in-law of Les and the late Ethel Brumby (Timaru), the late May Bennett, Rita Toohill and Clarice Darcy, much loved uncle of Ray and Marlon Darcy (Christchurch), and remembered by all his relatives and friends; In his 80th year. DARCY, Cyril John — On July 19, 1989, at Christchurch Hospital, a dear and treasured uncle and friend who will be sadly missed by Ray and Marion Darcy, and their son Steven Cragg. We are left with so many wonderful memories for which we thank the Lord.

FLEMMING, Thomas Eric — On July 20,1989, at his home, 9 Geraldine Street, Greymouth, dearly loved husband of Joyce Flemming, loved father and father-in-law of Patricia and Jim McCaw (Rangiora), Peter and Linda (Blaketown), Jim and June (Nelson), Alan and Wendy (Brisbane), loved brother and brother-in-law of Phyllis and Ted Babblngton (Hamilton), Jessie and the late Robert Flemming (Christchurch), Emily and the late Roly Flemming (Auckland), and the late Thelma Babblngton, and loved granddad of Pamela and Suzle, Sharon and Brian, David, Steven and Tony; in his 75th year.
