Science Fair successes
St Andrew’s College scooped the pool at the 1989 Canterbury and Westland Science Fair, held in the Town Hall recently.
The over-all winner of the fair, which was open to more than 400 intermediate and senior school pupils, was David Craig, a fourth former at St Andrew’s. David will
go on to the National Science Fair to be held in Auckland later this year. St Andrew’s won the first and third prizes in
the exhibits section, along with the Tait Electronics prize. In the associated performing science and technology challenge events, it was senior sec-
tion winner and over-all winner respectively. ■ These two events were contested by school teams, while individuals from schools contested the exhibits section.
