Parliament
Parliament went into committee on the Public Finance Bill when it resumed at 2 p.m. yesterday. Members of Parliament also considered the committee stages of the State-Owned Enterprises Amendment Bill (No. 6). Both bills were set down for third readings on the next sitting day. ' The Minister of Finance, Mr Caygill, then moved the second reading of the Income Tax Amendment Bill (No. 8). The bill passed its second reading and was set down for
its committee stage. The House went into committee to consider the clauses of the Racing Amendment Bill. After a brief debate it was reported without amendment and set down for a third reading. The Minister of Justice, Mr Palmer, then introduced the second reading of the Law Reform (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill. Debate was interrupted by the. adjournment, and the House rose at 10.30 p.m.
