Man admits robbery
PA Whangarei A 26-year-old man admitted the March aggravated robbery of the Whangarei Urgent Dispensary when he appeared in the High Court at Whangarei on Monday. Simon Joseph Bonner, unemployed, of Auckland, pleaded guilty before Mr Justice Henry who released him on bail to reappear on August 15 for sentence. Bonner’s co-accused, Wayne Anthony Daniels, was remanded on bail to
August 14 for trial in the High Court at Whangarei. Daniels, a sickness beneficiary of New Plymouth, pleaded not guilty to the aggravated robbery charge at a depositions hearing in the Whangarei District Court on June 2. In a separate District Court appearance on Monday he was further remanded without plea on charges of receiving drugs and possessing morphine. Judge Rutherford Paul ordered Daniels to appear on August 22.
