Loe, Botica chosen
The All Black prop, Richard Loe, and the first fiveeighths, Frano Botica, were yesterday added to the Anzac XV rugby team to play the touring British Lions at Ballymore in Brisbane on July 23. Loe and Botica join Wayne Shelford, Michael Brewer, Steve McDowell, John Schuster and John Gallagher in the New Zealand contingent, which boasts a total of 74 caps. The absence of the All Black first five-eighths, Grant Fox, has heightened speculation that Australia’s Mark Ella will be invited to play, with Michael Lynagh moving to the centres. —NZPA-AAP
