Town Planning Town and Country Planning Act 1977 Christchurch City Council District Planning Scheme PROPOSED CHANGE NO. 36 HEIGHT RESTRICTION RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT REDIDENTIAL 5A ZONE THE Christchurch City Council has prepared Change No. 36 to its District Planning Scheme. The nature of the Change is as follows: The change proposes to remove apartment buildings of more than three storeys as a permitted use in those blocks of the R/5A zone bound by Worcester Street, Rolleston Avenue, Park Terrace, KUmore Street, West Side Cranmer Square and Montreal Street, except on those sites at 18-28 Gloucester Street. The change may be Inspected at the Town Planning Office of the Council, Civic Offices, 163 Tuam Street, and Canterbury Public Library, at any time when it is open to the public. Submissions and objections to the change or any part thereof may be made by any body or person affected or representing some relevant aspect of the public Interest.

Submissions and objections shall be in writing on Form C prescribed in the Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1978 or to the like effect. Forms for submissions and objections are available at the Council’s Town Planning Office. Submissions or objections should be lodged at the Civic Offices, 163 Tuam Street, Christchurch, not later than 4 p.m. on Friday, August 11, 1989. At a later date, every submission and objection will be open for public inspection and any body or person who wishes to support or oppose any submission or objection will be entitled to do so.
