The New Zealand bowls team made a good start to its campaign in the Pacific Area Games in Fiji, winning all four matches played ogainst Norfolk Island yesterday. In the men’s section, lan Dickison took out his singles against Barry Wilson, 25-19, while the four of Stewart McConnell, Gary Lawson, Jim Scott and Maurice Symes managed a 26-13 victory. In the women’s competition, Millie Khan came through in her singles, 25-18, while Lyn McLean, Marlene Castle, Adrienne Lambert and Betty Fitzell won their fours encounter, 28-15.—PA.
