DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT DUNEDIN CITY offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled communicator with proven management ability to develop and head its newly created Development Directorate. The Director of Development will be responsible to the Chief Executive for policy formulation and implementation relating to the Cpuncil’s economic development, forward corporate and city planning, technical services, regulatory, and Visitor and Dunedin Centre activities. The challenge will be to amalgamate these development, statutory and regulatory responsibilities in a way that contributes to the long-term economic development of the City and still provides a service that 1$ friendly, helpful and non-bureaucratic. As a member of the Corporate Management Team, the Director of Development will advise on major policy, Council goals and objectives and corporate planning, with evaluation and review obligations.
