BROWN, John Raymond (Ray) — On June 26,1989 (suddenly), at his home, McNamaras Road, Waimate, dearly loved husband of the late Marjorie and the late Ruby, loved father and father-in-law of Trevor (Australia), Jeannette and Colin Gillespie (Havelock), Ross and Beverley (Hook), and a much loved granddad of Nicholas, Jason and Samantha Brown, Joanne, Kathryn and Duncan Gillespie, Jonathon Keen, and Racheal Brown. Flowers respectfully declined. Messages to Bells Road, Hook, 8 R.D., Waimate. Ray’s entire Funeral service will be held at St Augustine’s Anglican Church, John Street, Waimate, Tomorrow (Thursday), commencing at 11 a.m. Waimate Funeral Home, Ltd, F.D.A.N.Z.

CHURCH, Norman Victor Laurence — On June 26, 1989, at Christchurch Hospital, dearly loved husband of Nell, much loved father and father-in-law of Colleen and Rae Thompson, Laurie, Norma and Les Thompson, Kathryn and Bob Blumer (Florida), and the late Victor and Margaret, Roger and Josie, and much loved granddad of his 15 grandchildren and 14 greatgrandchildren; in his 81st year. Messages to 10 Church Square, Christchurch 2. Flowers gratefully received, alternatively donations to the St John Ambulance Association would be appreciated and may be left at the service, which will be held at the Spreydon Baptist Church, corner Cobham and Lyttelton Streets, This Day (Wednesday), at 2 p.m., interment thereafter in the Waimairi Cemetery. CHURCH, Norman V.L. — Very special dad of Colleen and Rae Thompson, loving granddad of Raeleen and Allan Sara, Lance and Barbara Thompson, Craig and Judith-Ann Thompson, Mark and Angela Thompson, and Joy and Graeme Curtis, and great-granddad of his 12 great-grandchildren. Will be sadly missed and fondly remembered.

CROUCHER, Geoffrey Earl — On June 26, 1989 (peacefully), at Sommervale Rest Home, dearly loved husband of Linda, adored father of Nicola, and loving son of Marguerite and the late Ted; aged 46 years. Beautiful memories are all we have left, of one we have loved, and will never forget. His Funeral service will be held at St Mary’s Anglican Church, Glrven Road, Mt Maunganul, Tomorrow (Thursday), at 1 p.m., to be followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Oncology Hostel, Cancer Society of New Zealand, P.O. Box 134, Hamilton, or may be left in the church foyer.
