PA Wellington The defending champion, New Zealand, was beaten, 11-5, by Canada in round-robin play at the men’s under 19 world softball championship in Canada yesterday. The New Zealand coach, Dale Eager, said
from Prince Edward Island that the scoreline was not an accurate reflection of the game. “The seven innings went to three hours and there were 23 hits between the two teams,” he said. Earlier in the day, New Zealand accounted for Mexico, 4-0, for its third win in
