Town Planning Town and Country Planning Act 1977 1 Christchurch City Council District Planning Scheme , PROPOSED CHANGES ( THE Christchurch City Council has prepared Changes to its District Planning Scheme. , The nature of the Changes are as follows: Change No. 33 - Service Stations in Residential Zones: , In Appendix F of the existing City Plan provision is made for a number of existing , service stations which are located in residential zones. This change proposes to in- , troduce a new set of criteria to the Scheme Statement, against which the Council will consider the addition of new sites to that Appendix. Change No. 14 — Variation No. 1 - Central City Carparking: • I Change Number 14 notified in September 1987, introduced a number of amendments to the provisions of the City Plan relating to carparking in central city commercial zones. Variation No. 1 Introduces further amendments to clarify some of the explanations in the Scheme State- I ment of the City Plan; it will also provide some limitations on vehicle access on one way arterial roads, a definition of “parking building" and Introduces greater design and appearance criteria for carparking buildings. Change No. 34 - Stopping of a Portion of Church Square: To enable the proposed redevelopment of Church Square to be implemented, it Is necessary to restrict traffic from using the southwest portion of the Square. To achieve this, it is proposed to stop a portion of legal road for the total width of the road on the west side of Church Square and adjoining the south side of Poulson Street. Access will still be available to all existing properties. The Changes may be in- ' spected at the Town Planning Office of the Council, , Civic Offices, 163 Tuam Street, the Canterbury Public Library, and at branch 1 suburban libraries at any ' time when they are open to the public. Submissions and objections to the Changes or any part thereof may be made by any body or person affected or representing some relevant aspect of the public interest. Submissions and objections shall be in writing on Form C prescribed In the Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1978 or to the like effect. Forms for submissions and objections are available ' at the Council’s Town Planning Office. Submissions and objections to Change Numbers 33 and 14 should be lodged at the Civic Offices, 163 Tuam Street, Christchurch, not later than 4 p.m. on Friday, September 1, 1989. Submissions and objections to Change Number 34 should be lodged at the Civic Offices, 163 Tuam Street, Christchurch, not later than 4 p.m. on Friday, July 28, 1989. At a later date, every submission and objection will be open for public Inspection and any body or person who wishes to support or oppose any submission or objection will be entitled to do so.
