Extension for Burbery
The order staying winding up proceedings against Burbery Mortgage Finance and Savings, Ltd, was extended to February 5, 1990, by Master Hansen in the High Court yesterday, but can be brought on sooner by seven days’ notice.
The winding up order was opposed by the receivers who were represented by Mr Kerry Smith
who said that the receivers had applied to the High Court for directions concerning some of the affairs of the company and the papers had been filed.
For the winding up petitioner, Taylor Landscapes, Mr Mark Callaghan said that he was strenuously opposed to an adjournment and his instructions
were to proceed that day.
Mr Smith said that the request for directional proceedings from the High Court was complicated and might not come before the Court for six months.
The original order for stay of proceedings was made on February 22 and was to be in force for four months. .
