Writers win awards
PA Auckland Jack Lasenby’s novel, “The Mangrove Summer” has won the Library Association’s Esther Glen award for children’s literature. Chris Gaskin gets the Russell Clark award for his illustrations in “Joseph’s Boat”, by Caroline Macdonald. The non-fiction award goes to Claire Patterson’s “Its O.K. To Be You”!
