Burglar’s tracks followed
PA Dunedin A Dunedin man who might have thought the heavy snowfall in Dunedin would provide excellent cover for a burglary, had his efforts thwarted when police followed his tracks in the snow to his house early yesterday. A security firm alerted the police of a burglary at Taieri High School, Mosgiel at 1 a.m., SeniorSergeant Terry Richardson of the Dunedin police, said yesterday. He said the police were easily able to follow tracks left by the man, aged 21, to his house, where he was arrested for allegedly stealing a typewriter from the high school.
