‘Post’ editor elected chairman
PA Wellington The editor of Wellington’s “Evening Post,” Mr Rick Neville, has been elected chairman of the editors’ committee of the Commonwealth Press Union’s New Zealand section.
The editor of the "Wanganui Chronicle,” Mr Jim McLees, is deputy chairman. Committee members are: Messrs Denis Garcia ("Daily News,” New Plymouth), Ken Hawker (“Daily Telegraph,” Napier), Glenn Pettit (“Bay of Plenty Times”), Peter Muller ("Southland Times," Invercargill), Barry Appleby (“Timaru Herald”), Geoff Adams (“Otago Daily Times”), Binney Lock ("The Press,” Christchurch), Bruce Martin (“Waikato Times”), and the chairman of the CP.U.’s New Zealand section, Mr Peter Scherer (“New Zealand Herald”).
