Warmth at floor level

The revolutionary Zip Quasar heating is proving successful because it gives heat where it is needed most — at people level. The Quasar principle is very simple. It takes in cold air at the top of the heater and pushes it out at the bottom, the complete reverse of the old days when the cold air was taken in at the bottom and hot air pushed out at the top. The unfortunate consequence of this latter principle was that the hot air often went straight to the ceiling without warming the room. The Quasar range includes yet another touch of ingenuity — radiant heat. This extra blast of heat comes from an inbuilt element panel so you can be as warm as toast before the unit has circulated all the warm air to the rest of the room.

Because the Quasar is heating at floor level, less power is required to reach the exact pre-set room temperature. One other important feature of the range is the superbly quiet fan which is a major consideration when buying a fan heater. The electronic model does all the thinking for you. It will turn itself off automatically either when you leave for work or at bedtime. All you have to do is set the programme once to enjoy automatic warmth — right through winter. Over-riding the programme is just as simple. One touch lets you operate the heater manually for as long as you like. One more touch and it is back on automatic.

A back-up battery means the programme will not be interrupted when the heater is moved from room to room.
