Presenter replaced
An Auckland singer/ songwriter, Rikki Morris, will be replacing the “3.45 Live” presenter, Nigel Hurst, who has left the programme to return to teaching.
London-born Morris began his musical career as a roadie with the New Zealand rock band The Dudes before moving to Australia as a guitarist with the Crocodiles. After several years songwriting in England he returned to New Zealand in 1986 to form a recording duo with his brother, singer/ songwriter, Tex Pistol. Last year the duo recorded New Zealand’s number one hit single “Nobody Else.” Morris’s first contracted appearance has not yet been scheduled but in the meantime he’s honing up his scriptwriting skills and studying the television
process while he waits for public reaction to his new single "Come Back Louise.”
He will be co-presenting with the regular “3.45 Live” frontperson, Fenella Bathfield.
