Restaurant information, booking service
A restaurant information and booking service has been started in Christchurch. Called Project First Class, it offers a 24-hour number (666-282) which tourists and members of the public can telephone to find out about the cuisines, tariffs, service standards and ambience of licensed and 8.Y.0. restaurants in the area, and make reservations for
any number of people. the service at present has about 20 restaurants on its books, covering a range of cooking styles and prices. All the restaurants have been tried by the company. The service is free to diners; the restaurants pay a commission. The company also offers limousine transfers and fully serviced home catering.
