Taste of being popular
By
MICHAEL RENTOUL
The most popular boy at Hogben School, in Christchurch, will probably be Rhett Bready after his father, Mr Bob Bready, won a year’s supply of Mars Bars on “Sale of the Century” last evening. Rhett, aged 12, said that before his father went on the show he had promised to win him the Mars Bars prize. In a “good-will gesture” the product’s distributors decided to let Mr Bready, of Rotorua, keep his 365 bars and give another 390 to Hogben School. Five years ago Rhett was hit by a car outside his home and he now attends Hogben School for special-needs pupils.
