STOLEN GOODS A $14,000 jet boat was stolen from a driveway at Tika Street, Riccarton, between 5.45 and 10.30 p.m. on May 11. The A5OO boat was on a trailer, registration number 91JYA. It is just over 5m in length, coloured light and dark blue. The letters CBRC are on the left side of the windscreen, and the name, Ghia, on both sides at the rear of the jet boat. The craft is powered by a 302 cu in Ford engine with a Hamilton three-stage jet unit. Thieves entered a house in Burke Street, Addington, and stole a teal coloured lounge suite, comprising of a couch and two chairs. The theft was discovered on Wednesday, ' May 10. Over the week-end May 68, burglars took goods valued at $9OOO from a house in Champion Street, St Albans. Items stolen included a sewing machine, two cameras, stereo unit, colour television set, jewellery, clothing, kitchen appliances and other small electric items. Overnight on May 9-10, Murray’s Furniture, Pages Road, was broken into. Stolen items included a Hitachi router, Makita grinder, Black and Decker drill and bits, bench grinder, jack, assorted tools and a JVC radio cassette player. A woman took two black leather jackets from the Medici leather shop on May 12 at 11 a.m., while a male accomplice talked to the staff. A quantity of electrical tools, including drills, hammerdrills, angle grinders, builders’ and mechanical tools, vacuum cleaners and also a Kawasaki jet ski were stolen. The City South police are handling this inquiry. INDECENT EXPOSURE Last week-end, several cases of obscene exposure were reported. The offender is described as a male Maori, aged early 20s, 180 cm tall, medium chubby build, scraggy hair collar length, wearing stonewash-faded blue jeans, blue top with hood. The offences occurred between 9.45 p.m. and 1.30 a.m. INDECENT ASSAULT On Sunday, May 14, at 6.40 p.m., in the Swanns RoadRetreat Road area, a woman, aged 30, was indecently assaulted by a man driving a blue Datsun car. He is described as male Maori, aged 24 to 30, 168 cm tall, solid build, straight black hair to collar and droopy moustache. Has three sleepers in right ear and gold rings. Has a bird tattooed on left hand. PARASAIL FOUND Found recently by Papanui C. 1.8. was a parasail (similar to parachute) contained in a grey pack with blue straps.
