Murder charge
A man appeared handcuffed in the Hastings District Court yesterday on a murder charge. When the man was led into the dock, two policemen were on either side of him with a third standing at the back. Judge John Hole remanded the man in custody until June 12, when a date for depositions will be fixed. He also ordered continued suppression of the man’s name and any details which could lead to his identification. The name of the dead person has also been suppressed.—PA
