The R. Tucker Thompson, a New Zealand vessel, which will journey to Tonga and Fiji this winter on a ten-week voyage crewed by adult sail trainees. The trainees, ranging in age from 16 to 76, will learn navigation and sailing. The ship, over 100 years old, was re-launched three years ago. It has since starred in the television series “Adventure” and sailed from England to Australia in the bicentennial first fleet re-enactment voyage.
