Cycles used by robbers
A man was robbed of $2OO on the Armagh Street Bridge yesterday. Two men approached the man about 3 p.m., took his money and rode off on bicycles. The man walked to the Central Police Station to report the incident. The police said one of the offenders had grabbed the man, while the other stood by holding
a bicycle pump. One of the offenders was described as a Maori, aged in his late 20s, 177 cm tall, of solid build, with an “afro” hair style and wearing a denim jacket and black jeans. The other was European, aged in his late 20s, tall and of thin build with short close cropped hair. He was wearing blue jeans and a grey jacket.
