Lincoln College duo get scholarships
Two Lincoln College students have been awarded scholarships by the Conservation Department. It announced yesterday that Ms Ria Brejaart and Mr John Rich would receive the scholarships under the Conservation Science Scholarship scheme. Ms Brejaart will study keas at Craigieburn , and Arthur’s Pass, focusing on the impact that humans have on keas and 4?tieir
behaviour, and on the damage keas do to villages and ski-field facilities. Mr Rich will compile an inventory of the ecosystems along the Manganui-o-te-ao River. The study will feature conservation value. Four scholarships have been awarded under the scheme this year. The other two went to Ms Mary O’Keefe and Mr Stephen Why, students at Auckland University. 4-
