Malvern centre
Sir,—l would like to correct the information given in an article headed “Malvern mothers angered by refusal of funds” (April 3). Contrary to what is stated, that area still has several playcentres which cater for children from birth to school age. Playcentre, encouraging parent education, requires parent participation — something that has been highlighted by the Government’s intention to implement the “Before Five” and “Tomorrow’s Schools” proposals.— Yours, etc., ELIZABETH BAIN, Public relations convener, Canterbury Playcentre Association.
