Centre for disabled

Sir,—Until you have someerne with a chronic illness or disability which is forever in your household you have no conception of the stresses placed on you and your family. I am learning to cope better with my husband’s illness as we make the continual adjustments in our lives caused by the unpredictable course of multiple sclerosis. If I did not have the professional support, education of the society’s staff and our spouses’ support group to share the ups and downs with, life would be really much more difficult. I am angry that the Department of Education’s uncaring decision to terminate the Disabled Persons’ Centre lease

means more stress and an uncertain future for the support I depend upon.—Yours, etc., ADRIENNE STANLEY. April 6, 1989.
