A North Canterbury Catchment Board & Regional Water Board COMPUTER PROGRAMMER THE BOARD has a vacancy for a computer progammer. The successful applicant will be responsible for the design, production and maintenance of software on the Board’s Digital VAX computer network. Work includes technical, administration, and archiving software. Existing software uses Digital’s layered products and VAX FORTRAN, PASCAL, BASIC and COBOL. Future software will utilise Digital Rally 4GL application development software and will include duties associated with a Geographical Information System. The position requires a University Graduate computer specialist.with experience on Digital VAX computers. Knowledge of GIS will be an advantage to any applicant. The salary range for the position has a maximum of $38,032.
