Town Planning ■ Town and Country Planning Act 1977 Christchurch City Council District Planning Scheme PROPOSED CHANGES THE CHRISTCHURCH City Council has prepared Changes No. 26, 27, and 30 to its District Planning Scheme. The nature of these proposed Changes Is as follows: CHANGE NO. 26 - DEFINITION OF LOCAL LIBRARY Introduces a definition of local libraries which makes It clear that “Library” does not include a video shop or video library. CHANGE NO. 27 - DEFINITION OF RESTAURANT Introduces a definition of “Restaurant" which Includes various types of eating establishments and allows for restaurants as a permitted use In Industrial and Employment zones. 1 CHANGE NO. 30 - LPG STANDARDS IN RESIDENTIAL ZONES Proposes to Increase the maximum amount of LPG stored on properties In Residential zones from 100 kilograms to 300 kilograms. The Changes may be inspected at the Town Planning Office of the Council, Civic Offices, 163 Tuam Street, The Canterbury Public and other City suburban libraries, at any time when they are open to the public. Submissions and objections to the Changes or any part thereof may be made by any body or person affected or representing some relevant aspect of the public Interest. Submissions and objections shall be in writing on Form C prescribed in the Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1978 or to the like effect. Forms for submissions and objections are available at the Council’s Town Planning Office. Submissions or objections should be lodged at the Civic Offices, -163 Tuam Street, Christchurch, not later than 4.00 p.m. on Friday, June 2, 1989. At a later date, every submission and objection will be open for public inspection and any body or person who wishes to support or oppose any submission or objection will be entitled to do so.
