Mr Jim Larsen
PA Wellington Mr Jim Larsen, one of New Zealand’s top lawyers for the Crown, has died after battling cancer for a year.
Appointed Wellington’s Crown Solicitor in 1969, Mr Larsen represented the police in numerous High Court and Court of Appeal cases. He prosecuted in most of Well-
ington’s murder trials in recent years, including that of Dean Wickliffe. Mr Larsen also handled private cases over the last 30 years as a member of the law firm, Luke Cunningham and Clere. Aged 53, he was a keen skier, swimmer and jogger. He is survived by his wife and four children.
