Officer crashes
A traffic officer hit a concrete wall in Cashmere Road on Saturday while chasing a speeding motorcyclist. Senior-Sergeant lan Freeman said that although the car was severely damaged, the officer was not injured. The accident occurred at 9 a.m. There were several witnesses, but none was able to get the registration number of the motor-cycle. Senior-Sergeant Freeman is appealing for anyone seeing the bike — English and freshly painted blue or green — to contact him at the M.O.T. The rider had a red beard.
