SARAH SANDS
A family concert and gala day will be held at the Blue Lagoon Restaurant and Camping Grounds, Brooklands, on Sunday, April 9, to raise funds for the Cot Death Fellowship Appeal. The concert has been organised by two Christchurch people, Mr Ray Cammock and Ms Josie McNeil.
A highlight of the day will be jelly wrestling with male and female wrestlers and tag teams, said Mr Cammock. The concert will feature a band from Ireland, Bone Idle, as well as Yolande Gibson, Toni Williams and artists from the Modern Country and Western Club, and several Christchurch bands. The concert, which will start at 11 a.m., will cost $4 an adult. Entry for children will be free.
