Jones third in batting averages
The leading run getter in the two day Trust Bank Trophy club cricket competition, Ray Jones, of East Christchurch-Shirley, finished third in the batting averages.

edge out the Canterbury and St Albans left arm spin bowler, Mark Priest. The East Shirley captain, Tony Gray, reaped the most wickets with 45 from his right arm spin, five ahead of Forde. The East Shirley wicket-keeper, Mark Barrett, was the leading keeper with 21 dismissals while Ben Harris (St Albans) was the leading catcher in the field with 13, the second successive year he has topped the list.
