Britain’s Fine Young Cannibals made it three weeks in a row at the top of the South Island top 20 pop singles chart this week with “She Drives Me Crazy.” The Proclaimers, of Scotland, have mounted a strong challenge ‘ with “I'm On My Way,” the follow-up to their No. 1 hit “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles).” “I’m On My Way” made its listing debut this week at No. 4.

Tracy Chapman’s selftitled debut album chalked up its fourth week in the top spot. lan Moss pushed his way up one position from No. 2 to gain the top slot on the Australian chart with “Tucker’s Daughter," reports NZPA-AAP-AP from Sydney.

Britain’s top spot is held by Madonna, with “Like a Prayer,” for the second week, aided and abetted by a sizzling video that has already been banned in Italy. On the other side of the Atlantic Mike and the Mechanics stayed at the top for the second week in a row with “The Living Years,” while “Eternal Flame,” by The Bangles, soared up three notches to second place.
