Pacers purchased
The Kenwood Bloodstock Agency purchased the Canterbury pacers, World Of Fame (C 7 and Lord Venture (C 3 after they quinellaed the claiming race at Forbury Park in Dunedin last week. World Of Fame and Lord Venture both had price tags of $6OOO placed on them, but no claims were lodged before the race.
Brian Meale, the sales director for Kenwood, was on hand to negotiate after the race. He said he preferred to wait until after a claiming race to do business in view of the risk of injury occurring to a prospective purchase during the race.
Others purchased by the Agency in recent weeks, either exported to North America or in the process of being exported are: Admiral Luca (C 5 Willy Run (C 6 Felks Hanover (C 5 Satanic (C 3 Terranium (C 3 Canasta King (C 3 Newhaven (C 3 trotter), Dual Sticks (C 4 Grand Colonel (Cl) and Sholty’s Son (C2).
