Waihapa well
Southern Petroleum, Nt, said its Waihapa No. 5 appraisal well was preparing to cement casing at 400 m at 6 a.m. yesterday. The well was spudded on march 5 and will drill to 3220 m to test the southern extent of the Waihapa field. Southern has a 22.6 per cent stake in the Waihapa field in Taranaki.
