Pottery, rugs on show

Darryl Robertson, the winner of the 1988 Innovation in Craft award, will be exhibiting at Mona Vale on March 14 to 16. Robertson has become known for his bright, energetic decoration, such as on the wall platter pictured right. The work on show is low-fired with bright stains over terracotta, white stoneware and porcelain. Robertson has been a potter for 16 years, starting as an apprentice at Waimea Pottery in Nelson and later working in other potteries in New Zealand, Australia and Britain. He now lives on Bronte Peninsula, Nelson, where he has a pottery. Also on show at Mona

Vale will be a collection of oriental rugs, pillow bags, kilims and antique rugs.

The rugs have been imported by Lothlorian Oriental Carpets. All the items will be for sale.
