Peto Institute seminar

By

JENNY LONG

Christchurch people today have the chance to hear about a successful Hungarian method of educating physically handicapped children, which it is hoped can be brought to New Zealand. A seminar, “Inside the Peto Institute,” will give information about the pro-

grammes at the Hungarian institute for children and adults with motor disorders. The institute has become well known in New Zealand after several children with cerebral palsy were accepted for the programme. Six New Zealand specialists who attended

an institute training course last year will speak at the seminar. They include a physiotherapist, occupational therapist and principals of homes for physically handicapped children. The seminar will begin at Christchurch Hospital at 9.15 a.m.
