Chch wins soccer
In Hurley Shield soccer matches played last evening, Christchurch United beat Shamrock, 3-1, at University oval, and Rangers beat Technical, 2-1, and New Brighton had a 5-2 victory over Riccarton, both at English Park. With the end of daylight saving this week, the 6 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday matches at University oval
will no longer be possible. Consequently, two matches will be played on Wednesday evenings at English Park. On March 8 United will play Riccarton at 6 p.m., and University will play Halswell at 7.45 p.m. The March 15 games will be Technical v. Shamrock at 6 p.m. and University v. Burndale at 7.45 p.m.
