TV3 tennis package
PA Wellington TV3 yesterday announced it had signed a three-year deal with New Zealand Tennis. This will give the third network exclusive rights to all tennis played throughout: the country. Extensive live coverage of the five major New Zealand tournaments, ASB Unisys Grand Masters, BP Nationals, Benson and Hedges Open, Nutrimetics women’s tournament and the Femleaf Classic, will; commence in the latter part of the year. Live coverage of Davis Cup competition from throughout the world: will also be part of the Network sporting schedule. In addition, exclusive rights have been secured by TV3 to telecast live the United States Open (a Grand Slam Tournament), and the three major Australian tournaments — the Hopman Cup in Perth, the Rio International in Adelaide and the Australian Open (also a Grand Slam Tournament).
