Blast from past
Some of the great names in motor cycling, including Triumph, Norton and BSA, will return to action at Southbridge this Sunday when the Ellesmere Motor Racing Club and the Classic Motor Cycle Register hold their third annual Southbridge street meeting. More than 50 of the pre--1963 machines will be put through their paces at the tight street circuit, and many competitors from a bygone era have been attracted to the These include Hugh Anderson, Selwyn Burt and Ron Taggart, from New Zealand, and two English riders, Arthur Wheeler and John Whitt-Mann, who were both top competitors during the 19605. Three different engine capacity divisions will be contested, along with races for members of the Christhcurch Kart Club.
Racing will be held between 12.30 p.m. and 4.30 p.m.
