‘More jobless’
Fiji’s unemployment problems were “substantially greater” than the 10 per cent figure quoted by the Government, a lecturer in sociology at the University of the South Pacific in Suva, Satendra Prasad, says. Unemployment would be 28 per cent if a reclassification of official statistics on employed / unemploy ed groups were made, Mr Prasad told a seminar organised by Fiji Trades ■Union Congress to define the role of trade unions in Fiji. —i Suva.
