ENGINEERING It POSITION | ! —————— Applications are invited from suitably qualified people for the position of Inspecting Engineer / Officer for the National Roads Board in Christchurch. This position requires a person with extensive experience in reading maintenance and construction activities, and in the monitoring of performance. Responsibilities involve •inspecting State Highway work activities to ensure compliance with National Roads Board standards and cost effectiveness, together with assessment of future needs and strategies for maintenance and road improvements of the State Highway system in Canterbury and the West Coast. The successful applicant will report to the Plant Manager and will be required to work on an alternating shift arrangement. Responsibility for the planned maintenance of the Plant and the supervision of contractors Is of major Importance. This Is a hands-on working position in a small team requiring initiative and planning co-ordinating skills to ensure our Plant maintains Its excellent record of being able to meet the high level of productivity required for our Coca-Cola and Schweppes products.
