UNIVERSITY OF OTAGO Dunedin CHAIR IN MARKETING APPLICATIONS are invited for the second Chair within the Department of Marketings This Chair has been established to provide additional academic leadership in a department that has experienced a steady growth in student numbers over recent years. The current academic staff establishment of the department is 19 and there'are a number of part-time tutors and non-academic support staff. In addition to the undergraduate three year course in Marketing, the department is involved in postgraduate programmes leading ,to an M.Com in Marketing, MBA and Ph.D degrees. The department has a substantial number of postgraduate research students. Candidates must have a Ph.D in Marketing or a related area, demonstrated excellence in published research and teaching and should also be able to provide evidence of academic leadership and administrative ability. The present Chairman of the Department of Marketing is Professor G. Mueller-Heu-mann (appointed to the Foundation Chair in 1976) and in the future the successful candidate may expect to be appointed to the chairmanship. THE UNIVERSITY OF Jujfaw NEW ENGLAND AHMf XTJ/ AUSTRALIA < PROGRAM OF ASSISTANCE TO INSTITUT PERTANIAN BOGOR INDONESIA RESIDENT ADVISORS IN ANIMAL SCIENCE (Two Positions) Position No. ill Australia is providing a major program of academic assistance to the Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB), the national agricultural university in Indonesia. The University of New England manages the Project in association with the International Development Program of the Australian Universities and Colleges (IDP) on behalf of the Australian International Development Assistance Bureau (AIDAB). Appointees will participate in the design, development and delivery of postgraduate study programs including both research and coursework. They will advise also on the supervision and assessment of students, the design and implementation of staff development programs, and research activities. The appointees will be located in the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and will work in an established team with two Australian advisors and two technicians. The appointees should preferably be expert in some of the following: genetics and animal breeding, ruminant nutrition, forage utilization or be an animal science generalist.' Experience of animal production in tropical locations is highly desirable. Each appointment will be for a period up to December 1990.
