Whangarei District Council General Manager Private sector competitive package Applications are invited for the inaugural position of Chief Executive of the proposed new local authority which will amalgamate Whangarei City, Whangarei County and Hikurangi Town. This would be one of New Zealand’s fastest developing districts, with growth m primary, secondary and tertiary industries. The appointee will be responsible to the Transition Committee for the formation of the new District Council and from October 1989 will assume its full general management. The management of change and innovation will be a prime requirement.
