Pillion passenger dies after crash

A Marton woman died after a motor accident near Sanson on Monday night. She was: Heley Robyn Galpin, aged 20.
Miss Galpin was a pillion passenger on a motor-cycle which was in
collision with a truck and trailer combination on State highway 3, just north of the Mount Stewart Memorial, about 9.15 p.m.
She was rushed to Palmerston North Hospital but died about three hours later, a Ministry of Transport spokesman said.
