Baker receivers
The Bank of New Zealand and ANZ Bank have appointed Messrs Gerald Rea and Peter Ross of chartered accountants Peat Marwick and Company as joint receivers of property developer Baker Corp. Baker, 50 per cent owned by Landmark Corp, asked the banks to appoint a receiver on Friday, blaming the downturn in the property sector for its financial problems.
